Senior Environmental Scientist – Responsibilities:

• Play a key role in project management and work collaboratively with other teams
• Perform/Lead Wetland Delineations across various counties in Northern VA
• Lead client interaction and agency coordination
• Serve as the subject matter expert for permit related issues in the state of VA
• Play a key role in overseeing key functions like report writing and permit processing
• Mentor/train junior environment scientists and other professionals

Senior Environmental Scientist – Qualifications:

• B.S. in Environmental Science, Natural Resources or related field
• Candiate must have 5 + years section 401/404 permitting experience
• Demonstrated experience & ability to work on multiple projects, monitoring project status, communication with project teams, clients & agencies
• Ability to conduct research & analysis, complete field investigations and document findings clearly and effectively
• Experience conducting stream assessments, wetland delineations and tree surveys
• Ability to work independently, including field work and in a team environment
• Candiate must be extremely motivated and committed to a career with project management responsibilities
• Professional Certifications, such as, Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), ISA Certified Arborist highly desired
• Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or GIS Sampling applications
